NEW ACADEMY SPACE IS OPEN!
After a lot of planning and hard work the new
academy facility is open. With over double the mat
space of the old site. The new space includes bigger
changing rooms, 2 bathrooms, a separate MMA area
including a half cage (UFC style) and various heavy
bags for training striking.

Middleweight), Brian Ryan (Gracie Barra
Heavyweight Champ), Jesus Rivera (Gracie Barra
Light Heavy weight Champ) won their matches
against a team of fighters from Hawaii.

Gracie Barra Students return from
the '08 Pan Ams

Gracie Barra fighters Steve Young (Gold Medal
winner, Brown Belt), Gary Monroe (Brown belt), Paul
Stalker (White Belt) and Jayson Whiteside (White
Belt) traveled to So. Cal to compete in one of the
premier Jiu-Jitsu tournaments on the planet , the
Pan American JIu-JItsu Championships.
 Team Gracie Barra Alaska fought well and Steve
Young won Gold In his brownbelt division.
Congratulations to all of our guys who trained hard
and stepped on the mat in such a big tournament it
takes a lot of courage to compete in a tournament
like the Pan Ams.
